Listed below are all of the classes that will be raced in the 2007 season and a short description of each.  Click on each class and it will take you to the current standings for that class.

Classes:

Starting with the May 07 races we have one modification that will effect the Rookies class:

Cars with the FTE (Faster than Ever) wheels will no longer be able to race the Rookies class.  These cars are dominating this class.   The Race officials of the League feel that if you have the FTE cars you are not really a Rookie.  This class needs to be for first-timers and\or "garage" cars.  These cars are still eligible in the other classes they fit into.

Starting with the April 07 races we have these announcements and one modification to the Redlines class:

1.  Announcement #1 - We are going to create a "HRL League Car".  This will be for this year of 2007.  Anyone who comes to 5 of the 10 races this year will get one free.  We are hoping to have them done by the July races.  I also will post a picture here on the site when one is ready.

2.  Announcement #2 - Kids 15 and under who bring 24 cars to race at any race this year of 2007 will be given a free car from the prize table.  A race official will help with this if wanted.  We feel this will allow the kids to have access to fast cars and begin to build a garage that will be competitive in the races they enter.  This is open to all months of the year - meaning there are no limits to the free car.

3.  Modification to the Redlines Class:  The Redlines class will now include cars that were issued in the Vintage, 25th Anniversary & 30th Anniversary series.  These are designated as such on the bottom of the cars.  We feel this is ok to include these cars because most are an original casting which is what we honor in this class.  If questions arise, race officials will help with designation.  We feel this will open up the class for more cars to be raced.

Starting with the Feb 07 races this one modification will take place involving the races:

1.  The Late Models class will now be castings dates of 2005 or newer.  Which means the SuperStock class is now casting dates of 1978 to 2004.  This modification is made to enhance the SuperStock class by allowing more cars still on the store rack to be eligible to enter and begin the Late Models class when the FTEs came to the market.

Starting with the September 06 races these modifications will take place involving the races:

1.  The Kids class & the Rookies class will now be updated as to what cars are eligible to race in them.  Up to now, all cars were eligible.  We are now modifying this so that these classes will be more fair and competitive to all.  Going forward, the Fast Ferraris ( F40, 308 & Testerossa) and the Funnycars will not be allowed to race in these two classes.  Because these cars are not readily available, these cars give an unfair advantage to more seasoned and aware racers.  The Fast Ferraris & Funnycars are now ONLY eligible in their own class.  Any points accumulated by a racer using any of these cars will remain in the class - will not be taken away.  Any Fast Ferraris or Funnycars that have won a monthly class race, will now race in the Fast Ferrari\Funnycar class Car of the Year race.  They will not run in any other class for Car of the Year.  This modification, supported by all the Race Officials, will bring back the original intent of these two classes, the Kids class and the Rookies class, which is that any kid and any rookie will have a competitive chance to win and that any car, either bought from the rack at the store or from a garage sale will have a chance to win.

Starting with the August 06 races these modifications will take place involving the races:

1.  A modification to the number of cars one can enter is being implemented.  Drivers can now enter 24 cars for $5.00.  We are basically awarding the driver 4 more cars to race if they enter/spend the alotted maximum cars/entry fee.  Entry price is still $.25 a car up to $5.00.

2.  The NASCAR class will now become the Racing Car class.  Racing cars now eligible for this class are "cars with a racing style numbered paint scheme" or "cars specifically designed as racing cars".  This includes all Indy cars, Grand Prix cars, Formula One cars & Land Speed cars made by the diecast car companies as well as NASCAR cars who were eligible since the beginning of the year.  The Funny cars and the "Fast Ferraris" are still not eligible in this class, being in their own class.

Starting at the July 06 races these modifications will take place involving the races:

1.  Implemention of the "Jumper" rule is now in effect.  Any car that jumps the track during a race will be allowed to race again.  This will alleviate any concerns about specific tracks being bad or good and will give each car a chance to win.  This will not add much time to the length of Race day.

Starting at the May 06 Races these modifications will take place involving the classes:

1.  The Rookies Class will now be added to Race Day.  This class is added for drivers who have never raced before this year.   Any drivers with previous experience prior to this year is not eligible in this class.  Drivers also visiting the race "to see what this is about" would race in this class.  All cars are eligible in this class.  Inexperienced drivers are NOT limited to this class, however.

Starting at the April 06 Races these modifications will take place involving the classes:

1. The FTEs (Faster than Ever) series of cars have proven not to be worthy of only racing in the Funnycar class.  They are now eligible in the regular class that the specific car fits into.

2.  Because of the domination of the Ferraris (F-40s, 308s & Testerossas) in the Super Stock class, these specific Ferraris will only be allowed to race in the Funnycar class.  All other Ferraris will race in the class they belong in.

These two changes are made to enhance fair competition in all classes and to consolidate the fastest cars into one class.

#1 Kids ClassAnyone 15 years or younger can enter.  These cars are strictly non-modifed cars.  As of Sept 06, all cars are eligible except the Fast Ferraris & Funnycars which race only in their own class.

#2 NHRA Funnycars/Fast Ferarris ClassAnyone can enter in this class.  The Funny Cars  must have a flip-up body, be strictly non-modified and cannot be glued shut or the body fastened down in any way.  We are also including in this class the three fastest models of Ferraris made (and proven).  These models are the F-40, the 308 & the Testerossa.  This is the only class that the Funnycars and the three specified Ferraris can race in.

#3 Redlines ClassAnyone can enter in this class.  These cars are strictly non-modified and must have been manufactured in 1977 or before.  Cars can be from any brand, ie: Hot Wheels, Matchbox, Johnny Lightning, etc.  As of April 2007, Vintage, 25th Anniversary & 30th Anniversary cars are allowed in this class (this is designated on the bottom of the cars).  This class is to honor the diecast car heritage.

#4 Super Stock ClassAnyone can enter in this class.  These cars are strictly non-modified and have a casting date of 2004 or before.  Anniversary cars and later makes of pre-1978 castings are eligible in this class.  The casting dates will be checked by race officials prior to the races being run.  Funnycars, the Fast Ferraris and pickups/trucks do not race in this class.

#5 Late Model ClassAnyone can enter in this class.  These cars are strictly non-modified and have a casting date of 2005 or newer (through 2007).  The casting dates will be checked by race officials prior to the races being run.  Funnycars, the Fast Ferraris and pickups/trucks do not race in this class.

#6 NASCAR\Racing Car ClassAnyone can enter in this class.  These cars are strictly non-modified and are legitimate Cup Series cars.   All cars with true Nascar paint schemes and actual diecast of racing cars i.e. pickups/trucks, four-doors, chevy stockers, and t-bird stockers are eligible. Beginning in Aug 06, all racing cars are eligible in this class except the Funnycars and the Fast Ferraris.

#7 Trucks ClassAnyone can enter this class.  These trucks are strictly non-modified.  These trucks can have any casting date.  If any questions arise during pre-race setup as to whether it is eligible for the class, please see a race official.  Included in this class are pickups, trucks, ambulences, and any customs produced by the diecast companies.

#8 Rookies ClassThis class is added for drivers who have never raced before this year.  Any drivers with previous experience prior to this year is NOT eligible in this class.  Drivers also visiting the race "to see what this is about" would race in this class.  Inexperienced drivers are NOT limited to this class, however.  As of Sept 06, all cars are eligible except the Fast Ferraris & Funnycars which race only in their own class.  Anyone achieving 10 or more points in one racing season graduates from the Rookies Class being ineligible in the class for the rest of their racing career (Congratulations!).   Beginning with the May07 races, the FTE cars will NOT be eligible in this class.
