Rules for the Racing Season

Races are scheduled to start at 10:00am on the second Saturday of the month from February to November.

Racers must be present during the entirety of the race class you're entered in to be eligible for points awarded.

All classes will have the same point scale for 1st through 4th place.  A racer cannot place more than once per class.  When we get down to 8 cars left in a class, if anyone has more than 1 car in it, they have to race themselves.  In doing so, this enables more racers to score points.

Cars entered in the wrong class cannot be re-entered in the right one.  If you are unsure what class is what, ask a race official.  No late entries in a class that has already begun is allowed.  Make sure your cars are numbered and made legible so the race starter can read them.  All cars are announced so the racers knows when their car is racing.  Cars without a numbered tag will not be raced.

Points awarded will be 10 for 1st place; 6 for 2nd place; 3 for 3rd place and 1 for 4th place.

The maximum cars you may enter is 24.  It is $.25 a car or 24 cars for $5 (4 extra cars will be awarded for the maximum fee).  You may enter your cars in one or all of the classes you are eligible for.

75% of all fees taken in will go toward the following month's prizes.  The other 25% will be put into an account for the purpose of purchasing trophies at the end of the season.   The amount of prizes and sizes of trophies depends on fees taken in.

During the regular season, the champion of each class will retire until the season championship in November.   In other words, if your car wins its class, you garage it until November, then it will race in the CAR OF THE YEAR Championship, which honors the fastest car entered in that class from the entire season.  Then all current champions race in the final grand championship race, the Hus CUP CHAMPIONSHIP.

This is a Hus Church sponsored program.  We will give thanks to God through a devotion for a brief moment during the racing day.  Devotions can be given by racing participants and are done on a volunteer basis or a church member will deliver it.  Everyone will be given the opportunity to give a devotion.  This is not a prerequisite to come and join us for the races.

This is a Hus Church sponsored program.  Any disputes or questions will be solved by the HRL board.  Inquire at the races if interested in the board members names.

See the Classes Page for any amendments to the Rules.
